Double Rainbow makes over 60 flavors of ice creams, sorbets, and soy creams. They use natural ingredients, including milk that comes from cows that have not been treated with hormones. Their sorbets are non dairy (lactose free), gluten free, and vegan. Their line of soy creams are for people who are lactose intolerant, vegan, or who do not want to consume dairy products. Double Rainbow was the first to make “White Pistachio” ice cream (with no added green dye). Their flavors range from ultra chocolate to fruit flavors to traditional flavors like vanilla, and much more! Double Rainbow does not sell its products through its website, so the price might vary depending on where you buy it from.
Double Rainbow uses natural ingredients. They use milk that comes from cows that have not been treated with hormones, natural fruit purees, and GMO free modified corn syrup. Their soy cremes and sorbets are non dairy, (which may mean lactose free), and gluten free. Foods that are gluten free do not contain wheat or gluten, and are safe for people who have celiac disease or a gluten allergy or intolerance. However, there is a chance of cross contamination from milk or wheat in the products, since they are processed on machinery that does encounter milk or wheat. Their headquarters are located in San Francisco, California. Double Rainbow got its name from an interesting thing that happened right after the company signed the lease on their first ice cream parlor in 1976. Later that day, a double rainbow appeared in the sky over San Francisco, California. This inspired their name.
