18 Rabbits has a mission to bring food back to its roots. They are doing it by creating simple, authentic, granola and bars. They make three varieties of granola, all of which are USDA certified organic. Veritas Granola contains hazelnut, walnut, cacao nibs, and flaxseed. Gracious Granola has pecans, almonds, maple and coconut. Felicitas Granola has chia, sunflower seeds, honey, and bing cherries. 18 Rabbits makes five different kinds of granola bars, and each one is also USDA certified organic. Haute Diggity Date is an organic granola bar with dates and raisins. Cheeky Cherry Chocolate is made with organic chocolate, cherries, and cranberries. Nibblin’ Apricot used to be called Nibbla A Sultana. It’s an organic granola bar with apricots and hazelnuts. The Funky Figs and Cherries bar has organic figs and hazelnuts. Belle Bananas Foster has organic granola, banana chips, and dates. You can also try their Bunny Bars, (which are made for people, not rabbits). Choose from Mimi Merry Mango Strawberry, Rocco Choco Banana, Squeaky Cheeky Choco Cherry, or Deedee Dot Cherry Apricot. Some of their products are wheat free, and several are dairy free. You cannot buy 18 rabbits products directly through their website, so the price might vary depending on where you buy it at.
Foods that are organic were grown without the use of pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, sewage sludge, or ionizing radiation. Organic foods are GMO free. Products that do not contain wheat might be gluten free, and safe for people who have celiac disease, or a gluten allergy or intolerance, to eat. However, since their products contain oats that may have been milled on a machine that was used with wheat, it is a good idea to be careful. If a product is dairy free, that means it does not contain milk or milk products. This could mean that people who need to be on a lactose free diet can consume it. Most nuts contain vitamin E, which helps to keep your heart healthy. Almonds also contain Niacin, (also called vitamin B), which helps the body break down food, and calcium, which helps the body to grow strong bones. 18 Rabbits has its headquarters in San Francisco, California. The company was once called Divinely D’lish, but changed its name in 2008.
