Many stores offer Deals of the Day on their websites. Find out how to score the offers and where to find the best deals on gifts for your family and friends. You shopped the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales, but you still have family members that you need to buy gifts for. One frugal way to accomplish that task is to find a really good Deal of the Day. These elusive deals are not widely advertised and will disappear when the day is over. They are also some of the best deals of the season!

How to Get Deals of the Day

Amazon has a Holiday Toy List that includes “Lightning Deals”. They have four upcoming deals listed and a countdown until each one is released. All you can see before the deal is officially ready is the name of the toy that will be on sale.

Target has Daily Deals. There is a countdown that shows you exactly how many hours, minutes, and seconds today’s deal will last. Each Daily Deal lasts for only 24 hours. You can get free shipping when you buy a product while it is featured as a Daily Deal.

Best Buy had a Deal of the Day as part of their countdown to Thanksgiving and the Black Friday sales. It might be worth checking to see if they continued their Daily Deal offers after Thanksgiving.

Toys R Us has Daily Online Deals. As you might have guessed, these deals are on toys. There will be about a dozen toys that are on sale for a 24 hour period of time.

In addition to the Daily Online Deals, Toys R Us also has Flash Deals. The Flash Deals are only offered for a few hours. A countdown tells you how long until the next Flash Deal is available. Until the deal goes live, all you can see is the name of the toy that will be offered at a nice discount.

Sears has an entire page of Daily Deals. There are tons of products, from all over the store, being offered at the same time. A countdown on the page shows you exactly how many hours, minutes, and seconds you have until that particular batch of deals disappears.

Amazon has a Free App of the Day from the Amazon Appstore for Android. There is a countdown that shows you how many hours, minutes, and seconds that the app that you see will be available for free. Most of the time, the app will be a game, but there could be a more useful app offered instead.

Good Tip: Saving money is important – especially if you have a lot of expenses like bills to pay, loans to pay off, and all the other things that drain your bank account. Figuring out a way to save money can feel tedious to some, and like a punishment to others. U.S. News suggests that you try one of these money saving challenges. The “No Eating Out for a Month” Challenge This one is self-explanatory. The goal is to avoid eating out for an entire month. This might be super easy for people who enjoy making meals at home. People who really enjoy dining out, or ordering food to be sent to their home, may struggle with this one. It’s worth a try because spending money on take-out is more expensive than buying groceries. The Pantry Challenge This one is a variation of the “No Eating Out for a Month” challenge. The goal is to use up all of your groceries before you buy more. It forces you to try and remember why you bought a food or beverage that you don’t know what to do with, and gives you the opportunity to find a way to use it. The one exemption to this challenge is the foods that have expired. Don’t eat them! Throw them in the trash. The “No Spend” Challenge Make a goal to avoid spending money during an entire weekend. The only exemption in this challenge is that you are allowed to pay bills. This challenge is interesting because it requires creativity. You must be creative and find workarounds for problems that you would typically solve by spending money. You may have a different outlook on spending after finishing this challenge.
