freshFresh & Easy does not take manufacturers coupons. Typically, people use those kinds of coupons to save money on groceries. How can you save money at Fresh & Easy? There are plenty of ways! Here are some tips that will help cut down on your grocery bill at their store.

Fresh & Easy has stores in California, Nevada, and Arizona. Their stores are built to be energy efficient. Most of their produce is labeled to say where it came from. Here are some tips that will help you save money at Fresh & Easy.

Get a Friends Card
Many grocery stores have a loyalty program that gives customers special discounts and savings. The one at Fresh & Easy is called “Friends Rewards”. It is free to join.

Right now, their website says that you can get 250 points when you join the Friends Rewards program. You also will get a weekly coupon in your email. Use the card when you are ready to make your purchase. Doing so allows you to add points to your card.

Look for items with Points.
Pay close attention to the little signs next to the products on the shelves and in the freezers. Some will have a tag indicating that you will get a certain number of points when you buy that product. These offers don’t last long so you need to take advantage of them immediately. Those points will be added to your Friends Rewards card when you make your purchase.

Check out the weekly ad.
The Fresh & Easy website has a weekly ad. Read it to find out what’s on sale this week. Sometimes, you will find “buy 1 get 1 free” sales. Often, it will show you what products are a percentage off this week. Sometimes it will point out which products will give you extra points. Lately, they have been doing special offers where you buy one product and get another (different) product for free (on a certain day of the week).

Use your points!
Scan your Friends Card at the register. Scan all your groceries. When you are ready to pay, click the button on the screen that says “use rewards”. This will allow you to use your points. The more points you have collected, the less money you will spend on your groceries. Points will expire after a certain amount of time. Make sure you use them so you can get the best savings!

Good Tip: Saving money is important – especially if you have a lot of expenses like bills to pay, loans to pay off, and all the other things that drain your bank account. Figuring out a way to save money can feel tedious to some, and like a punishment to others. U.S. News suggests that you try one of these money saving challenges. The “No Eating Out for a Month” Challenge This one is self-explanatory. The goal is to avoid eating out for an entire month. This might be super easy for people who enjoy making meals at home. People who really enjoy dining out, or ordering food to be sent to their home, may struggle with this one. It’s worth a try because spending money on take-out is more expensive than buying groceries. The Pantry Challenge This one is a variation of the “No Eating Out for a Month” challenge. The goal is to use up all of your groceries before you buy more. It forces you to try and remember why you bought a food or beverage that you don’t know what to do with, and gives you the opportunity to find a way to use it. The one exemption to this challenge is the foods that have expired. Don’t eat them! Throw them in the trash. The “No Spend” Challenge Make a goal to avoid spending money during an entire weekend. The only exemption in this challenge is that you are allowed to pay bills. This challenge is interesting because it requires creativity. You must be creative and find workarounds for problems that you would typically solve by spending money. You may have a different outlook on spending after finishing this challenge.
