Mother and baby in home office with laptopSummer weather can go from pleasant to dangerously warm. There will be days when it is just too hot for your kids to play outside. If you are stuck in the middle of a heat wave, you will need to find summer fun that can be done indoors. Check out some of these kid-friendly videos from safe sources that can be watched for free!

Are your kids into LEGO? They will enjoy the videos that LEGO has on its website. All of them are free to watch. Parents don’t have to sign up for anything in order to access the videos. I recommend a video called “Behind the Bricks – LEGO Star Wars X-Wing Starfighter”. Watch as they build a gigantic one! Other videos feature awesome collections of LEGO, different types of LEGO sets, and some videos that are just for fun.

Disney YouTube
You can access videos from Disney YouTube through the Disney website. Disney has selected a bunch of videos that are Disney related and kid-friendly. Categories include: Style, Shorts, Stars, Motion, Pets & Animals, and Games. Watch a video, and when it is over, it will automatically start the next one in the category. I highly recommend the “Meet the Avenger Pugs” video.

Barnes & Noble Online Story Time
Here are some videos for the little kids to enjoy! Online Story Time features fun picture books with excellent art that are read by the author of the book. There are many books to choose from including: Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak, If You Give A Mouse A Cookie by Laura Numeroff, and many more. Sit down, relax, and enjoy story time!

Sing Along With Pete the Cat
This one may only be available for a limited time. Barnes & Noble has a video that is a sing along. It takes the familiar childhood song “The Wheels on the Bus” and adds a new verse that includes cats that like to rock. The lyrics appear across the bottom of the video and are really easy to follow along with.
