If you haven’t heard about Amazon Gold Box yet, then it’s time to head on over and check it out. You can navigate your way to Gold Box by clicking on the gold treasure chest icon next to “today’s deals” at the top of the Amazon homepage. Gold Box offers special deals and discounts that can help you save big. There are several different types of deals in Gold Box:

“Deal of the Day”

The deal of the day is a single item or group of similar items that is being offered at a discounted price that day only. To purchase a “deal of the day” item, simply click to add it to your cart. You can purchase it from either the Gold Box page or the item’s page. Just be sure to finalize your purchase before the deal expires or supplies run out!

“Our Best Deals”

In the “our best deals” section of Gold Box, you will find a selection of discounted items and ongoing promotions from all over Amazon.com. You can click “more of our best deals” to see the entire list of deals.

“Lightning Deals”

Gold Box Lightning Deals are applied to a single item paired with a limited quantity of extra savings coupons, available for the time period stated or until all coupons are used. These deals are limited to a certain number of discounts for a short period of time and only one per customer. Once maximum number of discounts is reached or time is up, then the deal will be expired so act fast!

“Quick Picks”

Quick picks are products selected daily specifically for you, based on your shopping history. These products come paired with limited-time coupons for extra savings. You can only purchase one Quick Pick per day, so choose wisely. To take advantage of this Gold Box offer, you will need an Amazon account. If you are a new member, you will start seeing Quick Picks a few days after your first purchase.

Can I Combine Gold Box Deals?

Yes, you can! Aside from the limitations stated above, you can purchase products from different Gold Box sections during the same day. However, you may not always be able to purchase multiple Lightning Deal items or a combination of Lightning Deal and Quick Pick items in the same order while still receiving all of your coupon discounts. Amazon recommends that customers purchase these combinations of items in separate orders to ensure all coupon discounts are applied (just make sure you don’t get charged more for multiple shipping charges).

Good Tip: Saving money is important – especially if you have a lot of expenses like bills to pay, loans to pay off, and all the other things that drain your bank account. Figuring out a way to save money can feel tedious to some, and like a punishment to others. U.S. News suggests that you try one of these money saving challenges. The “No Eating Out for a Month” Challenge This one is self-explanatory. The goal is to avoid eating out for an entire month. This might be super easy for people who enjoy making meals at home. People who really enjoy dining out, or ordering food to be sent to their home, may struggle with this one. It’s worth a try because spending money on take-out is more expensive than buying groceries. The Pantry Challenge This one is a variation of the “No Eating Out for a Month” challenge. The goal is to use up all of your groceries before you buy more. It forces you to try and remember why you bought a food or beverage that you don’t know what to do with, and gives you the opportunity to find a way to use it. The one exemption to this challenge is the foods that have expired. Don’t eat them! Throw them in the trash. The “No Spend” Challenge Make a goal to avoid spending money during an entire weekend. The only exemption in this challenge is that you are allowed to pay bills. This challenge is interesting because it requires creativity. You must be creative and find workarounds for problems that you would typically solve by spending money. You may have a different outlook on spending after finishing this challenge.
