Where do you find the tearpads? In stores. Look not only at Publix, but at other stores as well. Publix honors competitors coupons, so bring the coupons from your local cometing store for extra savings. Walmart does this too. I have often found great tearpad displays at Walmart, Publix, CVS, Target, Family Dollar, and Weis. It also pays to check the coupon books and special coupons at the front of the store. Publix has great displays at the front that are loaded not only with coupon books, but also with loose coupons and tearpads.
More Coupons for You!
It is an exciting time here at FreeCoupons.com. On Friday, we made some interesting changes to the website. We added an amazing amount of new coupons and coupon codes. Don’t believe me? Go click on the grocery coupons section right now. We now have all of the Coupons.com printable coupons, as well as our own exclusive printable coupon finds.
Finding coupons is easier than ever! We have refined our search feature, so you can search for the exact coupon that you need. Want to match a Target coupon with a manufacturer’s coupon? Just search in the box.
Printable coupons can be found in a much easier format under “Printable Coupons,” and you can also find them under their individual categories ($.50 off Pillsbury Crescent Rolls is under the Groceries category for example).
Just in time for the holidays, there are a ton of new store coupon codes and coupon links. Check out the Toys category, for example. Both Target and Toys R Us are offering shipping deals. Buy.com has a bunch of video game deals and eToys has coupon links for free Melissa and Doug and other toys with purchase. As well as printable coupons, you can also search for coupon codes in the search box.
Finally, since you asked, we are going to be featuring more coupon match ups in our blog posts. This way you can check out the deals for a particular store, gather your Sunday insert coupons, print out your printable coupons and just head out.
Please leave a comment on this post to tell me what you like or don’t like about the new FreeCoupons.com!
Stock up on School Supplies NOW!
It’s not even August yet, but you can get a head start on stocking up on school supplies now. There are some incredible deals out there, and you have to watch for them.
Go to Walmart this week for 24 pack crayons for 25 cents, a two pack Elmer Glue Sticks for 25 cents, and a 70 sheet notebook for 15 cents. Find some great rollback specials there at unbelievable prices.
At Staples, take advantage of their rebates. Buy any backpack, and get your purchase price refunded in Staples Rewards. These are dollars good on future purchases. Don’t forget the sales items which qualify for the Staples Easy rebate. These include Pentel Handy Lines assorted Highlighters; Staples slim line Pencil sharpener; Zebra Cadoozles Mechanical Pencils; and Zebra Sarasa Retractable Gel Pens. Find incredible deals on notebooks, hole punchers, and paper for $1 and $2.
CVS is one of my favorite stores, and this week they do not dissappoint. They have some deals that are free after ECBs. For example;
Caliber or CVS memo book: 99 cents. ECB: 99 cents. Limit 2
Caliber or CVS no. 2 pencils, 24 ct. $1.99. ECB: 1.99. LImit 2
1 inch vinyl binder, $3. ECB: $3 Limit 2
Paper Mate Pens, 10 ct 99 cents. ECB: 99 cents. Limit 2
Caliber or CVS Filler Paper, 150 sheets, $2. ECB: $2 Limit 2
Don’t forget to visit Walgreens, where you will find many great Register Rewards. You’ll find Scotch tape is on sale for 39 cents! Now, if you use the coupon from the July 12 Redplum for $1 off three, you’ve paid only 17 cents for all three!
It may seem like work to bounce around to different stores; but if you think this is difficult, try standing in line at Staples or Walmart in September.
More deals will come, I assure you!
Sunday Inserts and More Coupon Codes
There’s only one insert this weekend in the newspapers, and that is a Smartsource. However, it’s a nice one, with good things. There’s another free Marcal Small Steps, and the usual cereal coupons. There are also some Huggies, (including wipes) and $1 off any ten Dannon single serve cups. If your store doubles, that is a good deal. Find our list for this week here. Remember, not all coupons are available in all areas.
The power of social networking is taking off here at FreeCoupons.com. Many readers have submitted leads for free samples, and I have found quite a few myself. You can find Reader Submitted Free Samples and Reader Submitted codes in our New Coupons with these logos.
The response to this has been really great, more than I ever expected. Keep ‘em coming!
How to Use Coupon Codes and Coupon Links
I never shop online unless I have a coupon code or coupon link that will reduce the cost of my shopping. And even if I want to pick something up at an actual retail store, I’ll first check online and then see if they have a free ship to store option. After all, why should we pay full price when stores are offering discounts to those of use that take a little time to look for them?
If you haven’t taken advantage of coupon codes and coupon links, I strongly suggest that you do. Here is a little guide to the different discounts and how to use them.
Coupon Codes
Coupon codes must be entered at check out or on the order review page in order to get the discount, free shipping or extra free product. Any time you are ready to shop, check for a coupon submit area. That will let you know that there may be coupon codes out there that will give you a discount.
Coupon Links
Often, stores will give you a discount if you click on a special link that will get you to the store or the section of the store where the coupon applies. Enter through that link, and the discount will automatically apply to you order. Sometimes you can come back later and still have the discount. Other times you will need to re-enter the store through the same link. It really depends on your cookies and how long the store allows the coupon link to apply.
At FreeCoupons.com I list both types of coupons as I come across them. In rare cases, codes must be used with links, so it is generally a good idea to use the direct link from the coupon listing when redeeming your discount.
Other Info
Some other questions and answers that you might wonder about:
If you don’t link directly to a page that declares the discount, don’t worry. Usually the discount will apply when you go to check out. Of course, you should review your total just to make sure before you finalize your transaction. Check the order page.
If the coupon code or link isn’t working, it could be because the store has taken down the coupon and I didn’t catch it. If you spot a coupon that isn’t working, please email me right away at marnie AT freecoupons.com. Often there will be a different coupon for the same store that I can send you.
Can you use more than one coupon? For the most part, no, although in rare cases you can. This is known as “stacking” coupons. I try to point this out in the coupon when I come across this. Another way to get an extra discount is to combine it with a rebate. There are usually different rebates for electronics. And sometimes instant online rebates can be combined with coupon codes or links.
Here are some of the hottest coupon codes and coupon links. I’ve given you a sampling of both types to explore.
Walmart: 97 cents shipping on electronics
Kmart: Receive two $5 Kmart coupons when you sign-up for Kmart Emails
How to Use Online Coupons
Using online links and online coupons is a great way to save money. I thought I would put together some tips on using online coupons in case you are new to online coupons or just want to review some advice on getting the most out of online savings.
When shopping online, there are two ways to take advantage of online coupons. You may already know which store or product that you want to purchase. Search for coupon links and coupon codes according to the store brand. You’ll often find free shipping deals as well as percentages or dollars off your general purchase. You can also browse through current lists of coupon deals to see if there are any hot promotions. Many times you can find limited time offers, such as free products, free gift cards or even 80 percent off deals that only last for a day or two. This is helpful if you have an idea of what you want but aren’t sure exactly where or when to shop.
There are two ways to get a discount with online coupons. The first is by using a coupon code. You simply enter the coupon code when you are checking out at the online store to get the deal. There are also “silent” coupons or coupon links. The coupon gets activated when you click on a special link. You may not see any acknowledgment of the coupon until you put an item in your cart or start to check out of the online store.
Check if multiple coupons or offers can be used in one purchase. Being able to combine or stack coupon codes and deals can give you the best savings. For example, you may be able to combine a free shipping code with a 10 percent off code. Stores that allow stacking will allow you to enter multiple codes or combine a coupon link with a coupon code. I try to alert everyone to stacking deals in the FreeCoupons blog when I find them.
Sometimes coupon codes and deals expire unexpectedly. It may because a lot of people have taken advantage of the deal and the store has reached its limit. Or sometimes the store will make a mistake and give a bigger discount than they intended. So if you see a deal that you really want, jump on it quickly. Verify that you got the deal when you are checking out in case it didn’t apply.
You can’t use a coupon or coupon code after you have checked out. In other words, you can’t apply a coupon to a previous purchase. So make sure that you search for codes before you finalize your checkout process.
Happy Shopping!
Marnie
Diaper Deal Expiring Soon
Diapers.com has a great deal that will be expiring on June 7th, and it doesn’t look like it will be coming back. The deal is for $10 off an order of diapers , if you are a new customer. You have to use the coupon code AFF10.
Combine this deal for free diapers! Diapers.com is offering Pampers or Huggies Jumbo diapers at only $9.99. The catch is that there is a minimum offer of $49, but the code still means that you get one free package of diapers when you pay for four of them. If you have a baby in size 3 or size 4 diapers then you know that this is a great deal because you can stock up easily on these sizes. (Babies tend to be in these two sizes for a while.) The normal retail price of the jumbo size of Huggies or Pampers is usually $12 to $17.
For more ways to get inexpensive diapers, check out some of my strategies:
Check your local dollar or discount store. I’ve found jumbo Pampers and Huggies diapers there for $9.
Check on Criagslist. Many parents sell their unopened diapers there for half or less of retail.
Sign up with the diaper manufacturers for free coupons in the mail.

Baskin-Robbins 31-Cent Scoops
Stop by your local Baskin-Robbins Ice Cream store tomorrow to grab a scoop of your favorite ice cream for only 31 cents! This is a great way to treat the whole family without taking out a loan just for ice cream. I hope they have Pralines and Cream. Yum.
***
For another sweet and cold treat, try one of the new Wendy’s Frostys. They have a printable coupon, $1 off 1 on either a Coffee Toffee Twisty Frosty or a Frosty-cino. You can also send coupons to all of your friends. I wanted to get it out to you so quickly that I didn’t try it myself, but Coupon Cravings says that it is a buy one get one free coupon. Thanks Erin!
Green Deals
Saving money while protecting the environment are two things that can go hand in hand. Because I am a big advocate of conserving resources, I thought I would call your attention to some “green deals” that are going on right now.
Sears
Sears is having a green Sunday/Monday deal that gives you 15% off all Appliances with an extra 10% off Kenmore Elite Energy Star models 8pm Sun 4/5 thru Mon 4/6. So if you were thinking about replacing those energy hogging appliances, now might be a good time to do this.
The North Face
The North Face is becoming increasingly green about their products, especially with their spring line. There are a few products with sustainability that the North Face is featuring with a deal in April. The best selling Denali Jacket and Denali Hoodie now are constructed using eco-friendly, recycled Polartec® fleece. Another featured eco-friendly product is the technical, 15ºF down bag, Green Kazoo, made from 100% recycled Pertex® Eco ripstop shell. A range of organic t-shirts are available, as well as a large selection of full-zip jackets and pullovers made from recycled fleece.
The Sierra Club
The Sierra Club has been dedicated to protecting the Earth long before most people where aware of a problem. Right now they are offering a free backpack when you join! Not only can join the fight, but you get a really great expedition backpack, too.
The Sierra Club Free Backpack
Pizza Coupons and Other Restaurant Food Deals
Going out to eat can be expensive. Then again, it could be pretty cheap, too, if you know how to get the deals. Pizza coupons are always nice to get, and can you believe that there is the opportunity to get a large pizza for only 25 cents?
Pap John’s is featuring a promotion around football. You go to the site to register, and then if the opening kickoff of the “Big Game” results in a touchdown, you and anyone else who registered will receive a coupon for a large one-topping pizza for the price of 25 cents!
I know of two deals for Pizza Hut pizza, although I haven’t tried them myself. Since Pizza Hut tends tends to offer some coupons locally that don’t work elsewhere, I can’t guarantee that they will work for you, but it is worth trying. The first was advertised today as getting $5 off a large pizza when you ask for the “Real Deal” promotion. The other special is using code 02 when you order online to get a large 1-topping pizza for $10.99 and a second one for $9.99. www.pizzahut.com
Panera Bread is offering free coffee all day tomorrow, January 28th. They have some new flavors that they want you to try. You can use this link to see if there is a Panera Bread near you. I’m thinking of calling a few friends to meet me there for a catch up and the free coffee. By the way, I love their fresh grilled mozzarella panini. Free Coffee
Nathan’s Famous is offering hot dogs for only 5 cents! This is the original 1916 price. You have to buy one to get the second hot dog at that price and use a coupon. That isn’t a bad deal for lunch, though. Hot dogs for 5 cents
Happy eating!
