Little Duck Organics must be made up of joyful, socially conscious and hilarious parents. Or at least the founder, Zak Normandin, is. As is the story with so many natural brand companies, Little Duck Organics was inspired by a dad just trying to do right by his children. With so few options for wholesome nutritious baby food, Zak decided to go ahead and make some, and Little Duck Organics was born. Using only ingredients that come from certified organic U.S. farms, everything this company produces is Kosher and gluten free. Their commitment to proper nutrition extends to their partnership with the charity organization 1% for Humanity, through which Little Ducks Organics helps fight poverty, hunger and malnutrition world wide. Little Duck Organics produces a line of dried fruit snacks called “Tiny Fruits” that includes Apple & Banana, Strawberry & Mango, Blueberry & Apple and Pineapple & Mango. The snacks are all verified by the non-GMO project and certified USDA Organic. They also produce a line of ancient-grain baby cereals called “Mighty Oats” that not only have goodness inside, but are packed in a zero waste design. The single serve cups are biodegradable and the cardboard wrap has seeds imbedded in it.
Little Ducks organics can be found at retail stores such as Whole Foods and Fairway. Online, Drugstore.com carries 1 oz. of the Tiny Fruits for $3.99 each.
