How to Use More Than One Coupon on a Product

If you’re new to couponing then you might be unfamiliar with this term: stacking. If you’re a couponer, stacking will help you save big bucks on your shopping trips!
What Is Stacking?
Stacking is when you use more than one coupon on an item, typically a manufacturer coupon and a store coupon. For example, if you have a Target coupon for $1.00 off of a certain bath product and also a manufacturer coupon for $0.50 off that same product, you can use them at the same time. This gives you a total of $1.50 off of that bath product! This works with both dollar or cents off coupons, as well as percent off coupons. Stacking your coupons is a great idea and will really help you save some money!
How do I Get the Coupons?
There are so many ways to get the coupons you need for stacking! You can get inserts from the Sunday paper, you can print coupons from sites like FreeCoupons.com or manufacturer sites, you can find Facebook coupons (don’t forget to like us on Facebook!), and you can use coupon clipping services. These are only a few ways to find more coupons. There are coupons out there for nearly anything you could want! Once you figure out the best way to find your coupons, you’re well on your way to making some great deals through stacking!
Will My Store Let Me Stack?
This is where it gets a little tricky. Many different stores have different policies on if and how you can stack coupons. So, before you start planning your shopping trips and stacking your coupons, make sure to go over your store’s coupon policy. Really get to know what the store will let you do in terms of couponing. It might be in your best interest to print out the coupon policy, just in case you run into an issue with a cashier who is not in the know. If a cashier absolutely refuses to let you stack, but you know you can, calmly ask to speak to a manager to get it cleared up.
