Couponing classes are cropping up all over the place! Thanks to the new couponing trend (and no thanks to the economy) people are offering their services teaching others how to coupon.
What Is A Couponing Class, Anyway?
A couponing class is just that–a class about couponing. They can be put on my well-known coupon bloggers, or just be a fellow community member wanting to share his or her time and knowledge to spread the good word of couponing! Classes are typically a couple of hours and cover the basics of couponing including how to stack coupons, drugstore deals, where to get your coupons, and how to do matchups.
Can’t I Teach Myself This?
Of course you can. With so many great resources out there (like FreeCoupons.com!) you are definitely capable of teaching yourself how to coupon. But coupon classes offer something that the internet doesn’t: human interaction! Sure, there are places like Facebook and couponing forums to talk to others, but having actual face to face time with a seasoned professional could be really helpful! It’s nice to be able to ask a question and get an immediate response. Plus, you might meet people in the class who are interested in trading coupons at some point, or starting up a couponing club.
How Much Do They Cost?
It all depends, really. Some people make their living teaching couponing classes. Other people just do it for the sake of helping out fellow couponers. A class typically costs anywhere between free and $30.
Where Do I Find A Couponing Class?
It can be a little tricky to find a couponing class near you. I suggest looking at your local YMCA, community college, and Parks & Recreation websites. If that doesn’t yield many results, hit up some of the forums on couponing sites. There are often threads dedicated to couponing classes, and if not someone else might be able to help you find what you’re looking for. If all else fails, head to the search engine! Look up couponing class in your area.
Good luck! Maybe soon enough you’ll feel confident enough to pass on what you learn to others!
