Multiple Printable Coupons

Posted on Monday, August 31st, 2009 at 5:59 pm

More and more I find myself relying on printable coupons instead of Sunday insert coupons. I think it is because the printable coupons are often more convenient. I can find and print exactly what I am looking for in order to get the deals.

The other nice thing about printable coupons is that they don’t only apply to grocery coupons. There are a few other types that you can use to take advantage of some great deals.

Grocery Coupons

RedPlum, one of the companies that publishes coupons in the Sunday paper also offers printable coupons now. There are a ton of new printable coupons, including a few that you can combine with the Target printable coupons to get some good deals, such as the RedPlum Kellogg’s Yogos coupon and the Target Kellog’s Fruit snack coupon.

Store Coupons

I mentioned Target coupons. Target routinely has coupons available. What is wonderful is that you can combine these coupons with manufacturer coupons, as I also mentioned above. This can really double your savings. Bjs is another store that offers store printable coupons.

Restaurant Coupons

There have been a lot of restaurant coupons out there, especially when it comes to fast food and family restaurants. This can be a great thing for a family on a budget.
KFC offers some printable coupons when you join the email club. You can get those coupons right here.

Event and Attraction Coupons

I try to never go anywhere without first searching for printable coupons. There are so many printable coupons for local attractions and events. Do a search online or check with your local chamber of commerce for coupons to events. For example, here are coupons for attractions here in Pennsylvania, including coupons I found for the Crayola Factory and the Liberty Bell.

Another Great Coupon Weekend

Posted on Friday, August 28th, 2009 at 6:44 pm

This weekend you will find three inserts in the papers.  Smart Source, Red Plum, and P&G Brandsaver will have some really great offers for us.  Take a look here at the preview.  Remember, not all coupons will be in all papers.  This is a combination preview of several areas around the country.

Some of the really good deals you will find are these:
Another FREE roll of Marcal Small Steps or $1 off a multipack
Build-A-Bear workshop -$5 off any priced at $10 or more.
Soft Soap Ensembles – Buy any pump get $3 off replacement base
SoftSoap Nutri Serums Body Wash $1 (new product, watch for sales. This was also in the Smart Source Mailing)
Swiffer WetJet Refill Free wyb Swiffer WetJet Starter Kit
Tag Body Spray or Invisible Solid B1G1F
$2 off Farmland Quarter Spiral Ham

You should buy extra papers, or hunt them down.

P&G had a place for you to download internet coupons for additional savings.  It’s called P&G e-Saver, and if you sign up, you can print Proctor & Gamble coupons.  Now you can print Smart Source, Red Plum, and P&G coupons, and save even more money than before.

Don’t overlook the Target Coupons in this week’s newspaper.  You can find printable Target Coupons here. Remember, you can stack Target coupons with manufacturer coupons for additional savings.  Look for Purina Chef Michael’s Canine Creations and Shout Stain Remover Product among the Target coupons this week in the paper.

Recently, some people have reported having trouble using coupons at Walgreens and claiming the register reward.  Take a look at the ad this week.  By the ad for L’Oreal, you’ll see the Register Rewards mentioned, and an invitation to use coupons from this Sunday’s paper for additional savings.  Take the flyer with you when you shop in case there is an argument.  There are a lot of free deals at Walgreens this week with Register Rewards, and potential moneymakers with coupons.

The Four Best Places for Target Deals

Posted on Tuesday, August 25th, 2009 at 5:06 pm

I’m really starting to fall in love with Target. Not only do they have all the stuff that I didn’t remember I needed until I got to the store (great one-stop shopping), but Target also offers plenty of opportunity for great deals. Here are my four favorite (the best) places to get Target deals.

1. The Trial Size Section

Every Target has a little section, usually somewhere near the health and beauty products, that is filled with sample and trial size products, everything from baby wipes to coffee. Most of these small sample sizes cost only $1 or less. This means that if you break out those $1 off coupons for name brand items, you can usually apply them to the sample size of the product to get it for free!

2. The Perimeter

Target sprinkles its best clearance and mark down deals around the perimeter or the outside edges of the store. Make a trip around, looking at all of the end caps, and you are sure to find some great deals. I’ve stocked up on boxes of cereal for less than $1 that way!

3. Goodwill

When the season is over or products have reached their last markdown without all being sold, they are donated to the Goodwill. Visit your local Goodwill store, and I bet you will find racks and shelves of stuff with the tags still on. I’ve found some great deals on children’s clothing ($1 or less) and toys (Hanna Montana taking doll for $1.50).

4. Online

Some of the best Target deals are actually the ones that are available online, especially for the more substantial purchases, such as leather jackets, furniture, electronics and jewelry. There are usually free shipping deals, too, so you won’t spend any money getting the deal to your door.

Sunday Insert Coupons and Lots of Printables!

Posted on Friday, August 21st, 2009 at 8:58 pm

Take a look at our preview of inserts this weekend.  There is one Smart Source and one Red Plum insert.  There are coupons for .55 off Reeses pieces, and a B1G1F Reeses Peanut butter cups.  These are good when
there are sales – it means you have free candy (or nearly free).  If the Reeses interest you, it’s worth getting extra Smart Source inserts.

Also in Smart Source you’ll find high value coupons for Nature Valley Granola Nut Clusters, Nalleys Spears or Sandwich Slicers, and Barilla Pasta.  You’ll also find coupons for Barilla sauces and products.

There are more Glade candle coupons – not free, but a buy 1 get 1 free for Scented oil Candles.  You’ll want to save these, and pay special attention to printable coupons and their increasing sources.  Target is a great source of printable coupons for in store deals. CVS has added a printable coupon page, with many coupons for CVS brand products.  Don’t forget to check out Smart Source, Red Plum, and Coupons.com.  And of course, you will find manufacturer coupons on our printables page.

Enjoy finding the bargains this weekend.  Between the inserts and the printables, there’s lots to save!

Walgreens – Great Photo Offers!

Posted on Thursday, August 20th, 2009 at 11:40 pm

I’ve never failed to be amazed at Walgreens.  When my family used to vacation on Miami Beach when I was a child, I thought the Walgreens  was a superstore.  I still think that, even in this age of Walmart.  They’ve gone from being a local drug store featuring a soda fountain and 5 & 10 type merchandise to being a leading retailer of everyday household goods and all types of medicines.

Walgreens today is a leading photo retailer, and we have the bargains for you right here.  You can still have pictures developed and purchase prints and photo merchandise in the store, but it is available on line too.  Check out these great offers from Walgreens for photos.

Of course it gets better when you use the register rewards to pay for items that generate register rewards…….

Walgreens is well known for its Register Rewards program in its stores. These are catalina coupons that print at the register, and Walgreens has a lot of them!  Deal hunters love to match up coupons with sales and register rewards.  For example, next week Kellogg’s cereal is 2/$5.  That’s not an unusual price – but there is a $2 register reward on 2.  And of course, there are umpteen coupons out now, many of which are $1+.  So – 2 boxes for $5, minus 2 $1 coupons equals $3.  Then you have a $2 register reward.  Final cost – 2/$1.00.  That’s 50 cents each!

Years ago, no one would have thought to buy groceries at Walgreens.  But today, especially in thriving urban areas, it is a contemporary super store!

Kids Eat Free

Posted on Wednesday, August 19th, 2009 at 12:04 pm

Reduce the cost of eating out with your family when you choose a restaurant, a promotion or a coupon that entitles your kids to eat free. Now you won’t have to complain about spending $6 for that macaroni and cheese that gets left on the plate.

By the way, most restaurants that offer a kids eat free night usually have it on Tuesday evenings, so try to time your day to eat out then, if you want to take advantage of this.
Some restaurants are very secretive about their kids eat free programs, and the programs may vary according to the store location. The best thing to do in this situation is to simply call ahead and ask. Chik-fil-a is one such restaurant.

Here are some current “Kids Eat Free” deals.

IHOP

Now through September 13th, kids can eat free every night as long as you purchase and adult entree. One free kids meal per adult entree, and you must dine between 4:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.

Denny’s

At Denny’s time your dinner for Tuesday, and in some locations, Saturday evening. Kids can eat free from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. with the purchase of an adult entree.

Applebees

Kids can eat free here on Mondays with the purchase of an adult entree. Two adult entrees mean two free kids meals. What I love about this restaurant is that each additional kids meal is only $1. Unlike other promotions, no one needs to be left out. I’ve done this during lunch, so it isn’t just evening hours.

CiCis Pizza

My eldest son wanted to visit a CiCis as soon as he saw the commercials on television. We finally found one when we were out in Lancaster. This buffet style pizza and pasta place offers free meals to anyone who is three and under. They also have some days were older kids eat free, but it varies by location, so you will need to call ahead. Another great thing about this restaurant is that they offer water for free, so you can curb the soft drink expense.

Check back to the Editor’s Blog again for more places where kids can eat free.

Walmart Coupons

Posted on Tuesday, August 18th, 2009 at 1:20 pm

You can definitely get low prices on groceries at Walmart, but if you really want to get some deals, take advantage of coupons as well.

First there is All You Magazine. This is a magazine that is sold at Walmart, and it contains a ton of coupons for great everyday grocery products. Make sure to pick it up the next time you are at Walmart or consider getting a subscription.

Next, there are the printable Walmart coupons themselves. Yes, Walmart now has secret printable coupons for the store. Can you believe it? The coupons are hidden away on a little site called Lunchbox Builder. You can download a bunch of coupons and print them directly to your printer. Make sure you are ready to print, because these coupons can only be printed once.

While you are at the Lunchbox Builder site, you can also enter to win some groceries. Get the details here for both the content and the free printable coupons.

We still aren’t done yet. You can order a free calendar from Walmart that contains $20 worth of Nestle product coupons! It will come in your mail, and you can use the different coupons throughout the year. Hopefully they will match up with current sales and rollbacks or clearance items for even more savings. Sign up right here.

Finally, there are even more printable coupons that you can access from the Walmart site. They print out through Bricks coupons and are part of the Pantry Stimulus promotion Walmart is having. Mouse over each product, and you will see a blue button that says Get Special Savings. Have your printer ready and click here.

Yard Sale Your Stockpile!

Posted on Monday, August 17th, 2009 at 11:31 am

Not only can coupons and freebies save you money, but they can also make you money. First by bringing you extra overage after coupons and second by selling your extra items at a yard sale! Here are some tips on just how to do this.

The first time I came across a stockpile yard sale was when I was new to using coupons. One of our neighbor’s clued us in to a great sale that one particular family held twice a year. He called it a grocery sale and said that we could get regular grocery items for half off.

Well, of course I had to check this out. I recognized so many of the items as products from recent coupon and sales combo deals. There was the cereal brand that I had gotten for only 50 cents. There was the toothpaste I cleaned up at the store for free. But each time I did the deal, I only snagged enough to provide for my family or to pass on in donation. This family turned getting the deals into a little side business and was actually making money on their stockpile!

If you want to do the same, whether it is a full stockpile sale or a traditional yard sale that also offers stockpile items, try the following strategies to get the most money from your great deals.

Zero in on hot high priced items that look expensive. The recent deal on the automatic shower cleaner is a good example. While it cost you only $.99 to get the shower cleaning kit, it retails in the store for $14.99, meaning that you could sell it new in the box for $7-10.

Speaking of cleaners. Some of the fastest selling items at this stockpile sale were cleaning items, health and beauty products (especially toothpaste), laundry detergent and cereal.

If you have a lot of samples, bundle them together in a bag. You could either sell multiples of the same sample per bag or put together little travel kits. The travel kits get snatched up pretty quickly.

Try to time your sale so you don’t have items that are expired or near their expiration date. if you do wind up with a few, place them on a bargain table and reduce the cost, making note that they are near expiration. This way, the customers have a choice and don’t feel cheated. Happy customers will tell their friends.

Be sure to have a notebook available. You can take down the names and numbers of people who are looking for specific items. This way, if you find a good deal, you can let them know.

Consider donating any items left over from your sale if they will be expiring before your next sale date.

Sunday Coupons & Albertson’s $25 Deal!

Posted on Saturday, August 15th, 2009 at 9:01 am

We have a Smart Source and a Red Plum insert this week – good offers just keep on coming.  I think the manufacturers have this notion that we are all using coupons now, and they want us to use THEIR product, not someone else’s .  Hey, that works for me!  Find the preview of this week’s coupons here.

Some of us will receive a coupon in this week’s Smart Source for $2 off A1 Steak sauce.  This is a good time to stock up on these, and get multiples of this coupon. Use it on the Albertsons/Shaws/Kraft $25 deal.  Use the coupons from previous inserts to make this deal even more profitable.

We’ve updated our printable coupons page with new offers.  Be sure to check it out.  I am adding a lot of Try me free offers, which you can download from the internet.

Albertsons shoppers, don’t forget to check out the great deals on Post Cereals this week.  Cereals are selling for $2.50 each – and you instantly get $4 off when you buy 4.  In some areas, you will get free milk.  Use these coupons:
Honey Bunches of Oats $1/2 (S 7/26)
Grape Nuts $1/2 (S 7/26)
Shredded Wheat $1/2 (S 7/26)

There is also a catalina on these – Buy 2 Get $1, Buy 3 get $2, Buy 4 get $3.  You can walk out of Albertsons this weekend with a lot of free groceries, just by playing the system and using coupons.

Back to School shoppers:  Here are $3 in printable coupons  for Mead notebooks. You’ll be buying these, I am sure.
